Rihanna has knocked Matt Cardle off the top of the singles charts with her latest hit What's My Name?, creating history in the process.
According to the Official Charts Company, the singer has become the first female artist to achieve number one singles in five consecutive years.
The last person to manage the feat was Elvis Presley, who enjoyed number ones from 1957 to 1963.
Rihanna's latest single, which features Drake, wrestled the top spot from X-Factor winner Cardle's first single When We Collide.
The rest of the top five is made up of The Time (Dirty Bit) by Black Eyed Peas, Lights On by Katy B featuring Ms Dynamite and Do It Like a Dude by BBC Sound of 2011 winner Jessie J.
Rihanna, who is just 22, also holds the top spot in the UK album charts at present, with her latest effort Loud also reaching number three in the US Billboard 200 chart.
She achieved in a similar feat in 2007, topping both the UK singles and albums charts simultaneously with Umbrella and Good Girl Gone Bad respectively.
Rihanna's other number one singles include Take a Bow (2008), Run This Town (2009) and last year's Only Girl (In the World).
